Tetranet Tournament - Progress update
So.. Tetranet Tournament! This is more or less a 4 week project, of which I’m now a bit over two weeks in. In that time I’ve basically implemented the bones of the game. The main “Tetris” portion is working great, complete with block shadow, and proper wall kicks for rotations. I’ve spent a good chunk of time working on the main menu screens, implementing the actual connections for multiplayer and syncing player/chat data in the game lobby. It took a lot of fiddling, but it’s working pretty solid now, though still some work to be done.
Part of the goal of this project was to really learn about Godot’s multiplayer features, and in that I’ve definitely succeeded. I still have the actual multiplayer gameplay to build out, add multiplayer items, etc. I’m hoping to launch this game by March 24th, so hopefully that’s enough time to finish my goal!
