A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

I made this game as part of Backdrop Build V3:  https://backdropbuild.com/v3/tetranet-tournament

My main goal in building this was to learn Godot's multiplayer features, and to bring back the experience I had of playing Tetrinet in the late 90's. It will have similar features, with usable items to defend and attack other players, teams, scoreboard/leaderboards and tournament bracketing. This release is just an MVP release - not all items are implemented yet, no teams, KO tracking or tournament games yet.

Special rules for this game - clearing multiple lines will send lines to your target's field. Every line clear has a chance to spawn a special item block with different effects. Clearing that line with a block will earn add that item to your inventory (using clear lines or gravity, etc. to clear does not count).

Controls

Arrow keys - Move block, Up to rotate, down to fall faster.
Space - Hard drop
Z/X - Rotate left/right
[ ] - Change opponent target, or click on their field to target directly.
Press the letter corresponding to the item you want to use to use it on your target. Defense items are always used on yourself currently.

Gamepad controls are technically implemented as well but have not been fully tested.

Implemented Items

A - Add junk line to target.
C - Clear one line from your own field.
G - Gravity - Pulls all blocks down to fill any gaps.
N - Nuke field - completely clears your own field of all blocks.
R - Random - fills up to 10 random holes in opponent's field.
Q - Quake - randomly shift rows in opponent's field.

Feedback is appreciated! This is still an early version, but please let me know of any bugs you find or suggestions you may have. Currently this is only available on Windows, I will see about support for other platforms in the future.
